Basics of Care Training

  • SouthBrook Christian Church 9095 Washington Church Rd. Miamisburg United States (map)

Basics of Care - Equipping the saints for good works.

This live training is designed for all SouthBrook volunteers who are involved in the care of others. The course is on Friday, May 7 from 6-9 and Saturday May 8 from 9-4.  Masks and physical distancing are encouraged. There is a fee of $10 but scholarships are available.

In this training, you will learn such things as….

  • Effective Listening Skills - listen so people will speak

  • Boundaries - strong and healthy boundaries that encourage relationships to mature and grow

  • Forgiveness - not excusing but forgiving so healing can happen

  • Identity - one basic reason people continue to live with insecurities is they have not found a firm foundation of a true identity

  • Overcoming anxiety - fear can be paralyzing unless there are ways to effectively process this emotion

  • The purpose of pain - Most of us try very hard to avoid or numb our pain instead of finding purpose in it

  • Asking the right questions - Most of the questions we ask are to the wrong people and answers given won't help

  • Managing codependence - Learn ways to detach in loving and healthy ways

  • And more....

Sign up here if you are interested.
