Steve Holt
Steve and his wife Wendy reside in Liberty Township Ohio where they serve their community with their time and talents through CityLights.
When not serving, Steve enjoys hanging out with his wife, kids and grandson, which he does not get to do near enough as they live in Virginia. He’s on a quest to find the best Chile Relleno in Ohio. Yeah… you read that right… Wendy and Steve love to visit Mexican restaurants with friends and family. Ask him and he’ll tell you where you can get the best Chile Rellenos in the world! He also enjoys working out, projects around the house, binge watching a good series on TV and playing with his dogs.
Steve’s oldest son, Tanner, his daughter-in-law, Katie, and his grandson, River, live in Virginia where Tanner is a baseball coach at Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy and Katie is a counselor. Steve’s younger son, Hunter, lives in Blue Ash and is a senior data analyst for Clorox. Steve’s daughter, Makenna, is a Junior at The University of Cincinnati where she’s majoring in biology.
Steve has served at churches in Texas, Maryland, and Ohio in several capacities. In the fall of 2007 he had a vision to start a teen center to serve the unmet needs of students in his community. That vision led to building and setting up “Edge Teen Center” in Liberty Township, Ohio which has now been serving mostly students from Lakota East High School for 15 years.
Steve earned a degree is Sociology with a minor in Advertising from University of Texas at El Paso. He’s also about 16 hours short of his masters degree in Religious Education from Southeastern Theological Seminary.
